WHO WE ARE
Category Management Group (CatMan Group) is a
Tampa, Fla. based Limited Liability Corporation.
CatMan Group was founded after several small to
mid-sized restaurant chain owners complained about
spiraling food costs and their inability to control
them. One of the most common issues seemed to be the
large-scale restaurant chains ability to contract
commodity food items for extended periods of time,
thus solidifying their competitive menu pricing
advantages in any given market.
CatMan Group has a very simple business
philosophy. We want to level the playing field
across the foodservice purchasing spectrum and allow
the 8 to 80 pound gorillas to compete effectively
with the 800 pound gorillas. Cost of Goods is the
single largest controllable expense in the
foodservice industry. We want help you get control
of that expense.
We
believe this business approach will allow you, our
smaller scale partners, to increase your profits,
lower food costs and grow your business, allowing
CatMan Group to grow with you. We help you
achieve all of this without increasing your
restaurants General and Administrative (G&A)
expense. We understand how difficult it is for
smaller restaurant companies to hire an experienced,
knowledgeable and talented Purchasing Manager with
only a few unit’s sales supporting the salary and
expense requirements for such an individual. We want
to compliment your buying team and be your Category
Manager.
The
typical customer of CatMan Group inherits
very little risk with our services, since we don’t
cost you anything if we don’t save you money.
However, we offer much more than just purchasing
assistance, we can literally manage entire
categories and all spectrums of every food category.
